The debut of the 2017 Subaru Impreza is nearly here! Information which surfaced from Subaru yesterday stated that the 2017 model will make its debut at the ‘New York International Auto Show’ on 23rd March 2016. The unveiling is scheduled to take place at the press conference at the Subaru stand. This will be at 5.20pm UK time.

The history of the Subaru Impreza dates back to 1992 and so far consists of four generations. Here’s the list of the generations and their models of cars so far:

• First generation (1992-2000) – WRX
• Second generation (2000-2007) – WRX
• Third generation (2007-2011) – WRX, WRX STI
• Fourth generation (2011-present) – XV, WRX (VA), WRX STI

Within many of the model releases, different versions have also been released. For example, within the fourth generation of the WRX STI, these versions were also released:

• WRX STI ‘Launch Edition’
• WRX STI ‘S207’
• WRX STI ‘Hyper Blue’ special edition series

From model to model, Subaru are a Marque which recognises consumer requirements and builds them in the form of strong and robust vehicles.

2017 Subaru Impreza

As stated from Subaru, there will be two models of the new Subaru Impreza unveiled at the show. One will be a Sedan and the other a five-door model. This time, the Impreza has had a variety of design changes, from ‘upgraded in-car technology’ to a ‘sleek new body design’. Its interior is also supposed to be more spacious. It does carry some features from previous models however, such as the ‘Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive’.
