Saturday August 3rd 2013 saw a great turn out of Nissan 350Z’s at the Ace Café in North London for a meet organised by Safely Insured customer and ‘Zed’ enthusiast Amy Slade.

Amy’s Nissan 350z Fast and Furious Adventure

Recently, a customer of ours; Amy Slade, was lucky enough to have her Nissan 350Z chosen selected to represent the UK’s modified car scene at the Leicester Square Premiere of the new Fast and Furious film – Fast and Furious 6. Amy is extremely passionate about modified cars and is very well known in the UK’s show car scene and her previous car (Mitsubishi FTO) won many awards whilst in Amy’s ownership. Not only was Amy’s car picked for the premiere, it also won a competition hosed by Universal Pictures for movie fans to vote for their favourite premiere car with an amazing 23% of the unique votes!Read More

Safely Insured / Driftworks Nissan Skyline R32 updated and overhauled!

For the 2013 season, the Safely Insured / Driftworks Skyline R32 has undergone some major changes. The R32 has always been the ‘second car’ in the Driftworks stable and was always over shadowed by the ground breaking Nissan S15. With the S15 now sold, and a new project being built, the R32 has been given some love, and doesn’t it look the part!

Beauty isn’t just skin deep and the’32 now runs a replacement Toyota 1JZ and Syvecs ECU as well as a few tricky new suspension tweaks to make sure it’ll qualify for competitions next season.

The engine was mapped and produced good and safe power figures of 560BHP and 555ft/lbs torque at 1.6 bar of boost. The roll cage is a work of art and also boasts Nascar door bars between the roll cage and the seats for added safely and rigidity.

The Classic Car Show – Sky and the Lamborghini Owners Club

We headed to the annual Classic Car Show held at the Birmingham NEC on Friday 16th November with our tickets kindly being provided by our new friends at the Lamborghini Club.

We were glad to avoid the main weekend rush as this is a very popular show with nearly 1500 cars on display and many more visitors, the show extends over a dozen or so of the NEC’s main display halls and it really is a full day out, or a weekend if you want to take everything in! The NEC is in a great central location which makes this annual show one of the, if not the best, classic car shows in the U.K. Read More
