Safely Insured’s day out at Japfest 2014!

Japfest 2014 - Is certainly the UK's and arguably Europe’s biggest Japanese car show! It was an early start on Saturday morning, with a 2hr drive for me. Typically a little overcast but Castle Combe Circuit was beckoning and I couldn't have been more excited to get back amongst the biggest and best in the Japanese Tuning scene.

True to form, track action included spectacular drifting displays, a huge retail section, selling pretty much everything you could imagine for your car and of course thousands turned out with some of best Japanese cars on display. Some ofour friendswere there too!

The awesome Drift Kings competition returned this year and, one of the nice things about Japfest, everyone got to talk to the teams and drivers about their experiences and cars!

Despite the changeable weather conditions, and we genuinely didn't know if and when it was going to rain or not, everyone was in high spirits and enjoying the cars on show.

Of course, we all love just how tuneable our beloved Jap Cars are and one of the highlights for me is simply walking around the club stands and talking to everyone about their cars.

The professionally produced vehicles are something to behold but I feel that those who build their cars from their own driveways deserve enormous credit, meeting you and seeing what personal touches everyone have done to their cars is incredible.

The UK's biggest Japanese Car show did not let us down, Rory the racing car & even the stars of Top Gear turned up! Even with the weather being changeable, the mood was great, the cars were amazing and the track action kept most lingering around the track for most of the day.

I think i'll book my ticket for Japfest 2 in August!
