James` 420BHP Ford Mustang 2011 GT Premium
If you're a fan of muscle cars, then you'll be a huge fan of James' Ford Mustang 2011 GT Premium edition.
Under the bonnet, it packs a whopping 5.0 litre, v8 engine, which produces a powerful 420BHP. What gearbox does it have? None other than the manual 6-speed Getrag gearbox. Also, we must mention the wonderful blue of the paintwork. Ford has actually been using this colour since the 1970's, and it's beautiful!
As well as all that power and striking appearance, it's also had a fair few modifications added to it. Here they are:
- Ford Racing Suspension
- Boss Intake system
- Borla Exhaust System
- Brembo Front Brakes
- Veigen 20” Wheels 10.5” Rear
- 10” Front
- Pirelli P Zero 285/35/20 Rear
- 265/35/20 Fronts
Q&A with James...
How long have you had an interest in cars for?
"When I was growing up my father and my brothers were always playing with cars. I was surrounded by them!"
What was your first car?
"The first car I ever owned was a classic - a 1950's Austin A40 Farina."
How many cars have you owned in total, over the years?
"It would have to be 50+. I've certainly owned a lot of cars!"
Do you use any specific garages to perform work on your car?
"I regularly use 'Evans Garage' in Crossways, Dorset. I also use 'Able Motor Repairs' in Worle, Somerset. I trust these 2 garages to perform work on my car and have used them for a while."
Who’s your favourite F1 driver of all time?
"Gerhard Berger."
What’s your favourite thing about the make of your car?
"To be honest, I've never been a Ford man and this is my first one. I have always loved American cars and it was a toss-up between a Mustang and a Challenger. I went for the Mustang and haven't regretted it since."
If money was no option what car would you buy?
"I would most definitely buy a Shelby GT500. It's an absolutely gorgeous car, with great performance for its era. Even today these cars look and sound amazing!"
What would be your dream job, in the world of cars?
"I'd be a 'Car Journalist'. The feeling of getting to test any car from basic to exotic, use it, and then return it without having to pay a penny - that's priceless."
What advice would you give to someone who wants to modify their car for the first time?
"If it's your first car, don't bother. Save your money and keep it for the third or fourth car that you buy."
Are you planning to add anymore modifications to your Ford Mustang in the future?
"In the future, i'm looking at a Whipple supercharger, along with management, and fuelling. With this being said, I may even upgrade to a GT500 instead - we'll see."

Oh, and before we forget... whilst talking about his passion for his car, James even had something nice to say about us; "My wife and I have been with Safely Insured for 9 year between us and the service has always been great, Hence always trying to stick with them."
We'd like to thank you for that James, we always try our best - that was very kind!
James also recently attended Ford Fair 2017 with us. We sponsored the Fast Ford Magazine paddock and had some room to bring along some of our own customer cars, and James' Ford Mustang was one of them. You can check out more information about this by clicking here.
