Q&A with Brandon...
Brandon kindly took the time to speak with us about all things car related. Here's what he had to say...
What made you buy your current car?
"I've always had a passion for both performance and looks, when it comes to cars. The R Mk6 has both, so why not?"
What's your absolute favourite car to drive?
"The Nissan GTR R35. It’s just so refined but when you press the loud pedal, it’s a savage... the sound, the handling and the speed are all immense features of the car!"
What’s your favourite track to go on with your car?
"Santa Pod Raceway for the 1/4 mile."
What would be your dream car?
"McLaren P1, without any doubt!"
What garages do you use for modifications?
"I only ever let two garages touch my car. These garages are Tuningwerkes in Croydon and EST Performance in Hailsham. I never take my car anywhere else to have work performed on it."
What have you learnt about modifying a car?
"It’s an expensive game! You need to be willing to spend money as things don’t always work out 100% the way you expect them to. What I will say, is when they do work out... the reward is so worth it ??!"
What advice would you give to someone who wants to modify a car for the first time?
"Do your homework and speak to people who have already modified their car (forums etc). You need to start small and go from there, but make sure you don’t just add power without adding the handling and stopping parts too. A lot of people want power but forget about everything else that needs to be changed once you add more power. Also, don’t buy cheap! You will more than likely end up buying the parts twice if you do!"
What’s your favourite type of Motorsport?
"I'm a massive fan of all things speed / power related. Some of my favourite Motorsports include: F1, Superbikes and the NHRA Drag Racing."
How has your experience with Safely Insured been?
